What?

Melody G is the design brand created in 2016 with the aim of making artwork more accessible and versatile, combining visually exciting art with wearable fashion and homeware. We wanted to bring an element of fun to the designs, focusing on bold and vibrant paintings and prints to inject some whimsy into the normalcy of everyday life. Using a range of techniques, we create original painted designs and produce them as prints, jewellery, accessories, and original pieces, using the highest quality materials.
Awareness
The jewellery line aims to promote awareness and help women in poverty by donating a percentage of the total profits to Living Goods charity; a charity which helps women in underdeveloped areas by providing them with opportunities to run their own businesses and contribute to creating a self-sustaining society, providing jobs and money for those in need.

Eco-Friendly
​
We source all our materials locally when possible, and try to reduce our carbon footprint along the way. Our wooden pieces use materials from only sustainable woodlands, such as those certified with FSC or PEFC, all of which come with European Trade Certificates. Alongside this, all of our packaging is recyclable (including the jewellery boxes) and made from recycled materials wherever possible.

Melody Grossman is the girl behind the business; an ambitious fine artist and print designer from London. Over the last couple of years she's been working on creating the handmade jewellery and accessories using her original artwork and print designs - making each piece from scratch. Surrounded by the bustling and demanding nature of London, she's determined to make some positive noise in the artistic community.
​
She graduated from Winchester School of Art in 2013 with a degree in Fine Art Painting, and since then has been developing her work and exploring digital collage and printmaking, blurring the lines between mediums and playing with bright colours and punchy text. Melody has been extremely interested in fashion for a while and came up with the idea of combining her two main loves of fashion and art to create the lines - to create something that was affordable but still visually exciting. By making the artwork wearable and usable, she hopes to create something that can be appreciated in a different way to traditional hanging artworks. This was the perfect way to work with two things she truly loves, and get to share her artwork with a different audience.

Everything from the design to the final product is made by her. She creates the digital images for the print and the designs for the vector files. The pieces are physically printed and laser-cut at the suppliers; then she adds the fixings by hand and packages each piece to sell. This is all done in the artists London studio, and where possible she uses local suppliers.
